Baby Yoda

Head

Using green yarn

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (12)

Rnd 3: [2 sc in next st, sc in next 3] 3times (15)

Rnd 4-6: (3 rounds) Sc in each st (15)

Place safety eyes between rounds 4 & 5, two stitches in between 

Rnd 7: [sc2tog, sc in next] repeat 5 times (10)

Rnd 8: [sc2tog, sc in next 3] repeat 2 times (8)

Fasten off

Stuff head

Ears- make 2

Using green yarn

 Row 1: chain 4, turn

Row 2: sc 3 across, chain 1, turn

Row 3: sc 3 across, chain 1, turn

Row 4: sc2tog, sc 1, chain 1, turn

Row 5: sc 2 across, chain 1, turn

Row 6: sc2tog, fasten off leaving a length of yarn.

Arms- make 2

Start with green yarn

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (12)

Change to brown yarn

Rnd 3-4: (2 rounds) sc in each st around (12)

Fasten off leaving a long length of yarn

Using tapestry needle, thread the end of the yarn just cut through the side of the ear as shown.

Sew ears to the side of the head as shown below.

Robe

Using brown yarn, start chain leaving a long length of yarn at the beginning

 Row 1: chain 25, turn

Row 2- 11: sc across (24)

Fasten off leaving a long length of yarn

Fold the top three rows down and sew across

Fold the robe in half and sew together

Place baby Yoda’s head in the center of the top of the robe. Using the end of the brown yarn on the robe that was just used to sew down the top rows, securely attach the head and stitch along the top sides of the robe on either side of the head shut.

After the head and the top of the robe are sewn together, weave in this end of the yarn and cut off. (There should still be a long length of yarn left at the bottom of the robe. )

Attach the arms to the top side of the robe as shown below.

Lightly stuff the inside of the robe. Using the yarn attached at the bottom of the robe, sew the robe closed. Fasten off.

Crib/Pod

Using gray yarn.

**The bottom part of the pod is worked in an oval. Please keep in mind for the photos that I am left handed, so my end point will be on the opposite side than yours if you are right handed. This doesn’t affect the final result.

Row 1: Chain 5, turn

Rnd 2: 4 sc along chain, 2 sc in stich on opposite side of chain, sc in next 2 st, 2 sc in next (10 )

Now you have the start of an oval.

Continue crocheting around as follows:

Rnd 3: 2sc in next, sc in next 2 st, 2sc in next 3st, sc next 2 st (14)

Rnd 4: 2sc in next 4st, sc next 3 st, 2sc in next 4 st, sc next 4 st (22)

Rnd 5: (2sc next st, sc in next) 3 times, sc in next 5 st, (2sc in next st, sc in next) 3 times, sc in next 6 st (28)

Rnd 6: (2sc in next st, sc in next 2 st) repeat 3 times, sc in next 5 st, (2sc in next st, sc in next 2 st) repeat 3 times, sc in next 5 st (34)

Rnd 7-12: (5 rounds) sc in each stitch around (34)

 

Continue crocheting around to until you get to approximately half way around the other side. At this point place the baby Yoda in the pod. You want to stop your stiches in this round one stitch before reaching baby Yoda’s arm as shown. Note the stitch on the other side of the pod that is behind baby Yoda’s other arm. Now we are going to stitch back and forth between these stitches for 4 rows creating the top of the pod. See the following pictures for reference. Make sure you chain one before turning at the end of each row.

Now we are going to create a finished look to the pod by crocheting all the way round. Start by crocheting down the side of the 4 rows just created (DO NOT chain 1!) Continue crocheting in each stitch around the front of the pod and then 4 stiches up the opposite side of the top. See photos for reference.

Continue crocheting in each stitch across the top. Once you reach the end of the row, slip stitch into the first stitch created on the side of the pod. Fasten off and weave in yarn end.

You have now finished the pod and your baby Yoda is complete!
